Cinema has no Language- Kannada Movies to watch for
Cinema has no language bar. Cinema itself started without sound, without any specific language in the beginning era of mute films. Stories have no specific boundaries. We have seen many stories of same theme existing in different region of the world, in different narratives, but with the same soul.
In the search of meaningful, heart touching stories and movies I keep digging the vast ocean of movies. And in this quest I do not bar myself with country, region or language.
While I find the innocently rough life stories in Iranian cinema, I also find deep touching love stories in Russian, Korean and Japanese films.
Whatever the different colours of these vivid bioscopes I find, I admire and share with cinema lovers like all my readers.
I have watched Dia movie last week and while writing my views on that cinematic excellence piece, I remembered other similar Kannada Language films worth mentioning here. This is the small list which I have fortuned enough to get time and chance to see. There are many more gems hidden beneath and will continuously adhere to my journey of search.
: I saw this movie before I saw and wrote my review on Movie, Dia in last article. While I saw Sadistic, defeated approach and then new hope in pain of love described in movie Dia, I reminded myself what strong message has been given to handle the pain of Love in Gantumoote. We all carry some burden or baggage of past, of pain, of loss on our souls. Some get tired and defeated but some carry it as a gift of the pain.
Gantumoote presents the story of a teenage girl in her school days, her love affection and her dedication, Samarpan towards her love. Through the developing story we see how the character put her soul for her love and she takes separation in love, not as pain but as strength. Because love is strength and not the pain in real soul meaning. Watch this beyond Bollywood gem to feel the real magic of love, dedication and carrying the pain of love as strength and not as burden.
Another girl’s love oriented film, for which I have expressed my views in i-review section. Watch this piece to have feeling of true friendship, love and pain of love.
I recommend to watch original to get the soul feeling of the theme. Remake of the movie is also being though of.

I always admire this movie as master piece at par the Hollywood’s inception. This not even less than that. The concept presented in the movie was quite new and unique for the Indian regional cinema. But the director has handled the concept and demand of cinematography as a master. The thin line between the imagination and reality sometimes becomes too hazy to identify if reality is actually an imagination or imagination is actually the reality. Use of black and white and Colour frames between the two concept has been beautifully presented.
There have been remake of this film in Tamil, Telugu also, and I have seen those also, but the authenticity and feel I get watching in original Kannada language, I do not get in others.
After watching this Kannada master piece, I am eagerly waiting for the directors next master piece.
This movie I watched a quite a long time ago, and including in this article today, as many of its scenes are still fresh in my mind. The brilliant way of narration of a story from different prospective is admirable. It also reminds me of Hollywood movie, named, “I am not there”
The cinematography is the key of this movie, which supports likable narration in all the way.
Watch this Kannada movie to have a real taste of talent in creating good movies with the way of storytelling.
Along with its known experimental cinema, Kannada Movies are also presenting unique impression in Action and larger than the life movies. Recently released KGF Chapter-1 has set up new hope and expectation from Sandalwood, in high production valued movies.
And I am sure, it is talented to produce much more than the expectations.
KGF Chapter-1 is an action packed epic tale of courage and struggle for rights and power.
Spine chilling cinematography is having a capability to make you glued to your sofa and enjoy the cinema at a large scale, larger than your life.
This is what we call a raw cinema. It requires much more talent to show the story at actual form in at actual scenario, with characters without actors and backdrop. Without any polishing, without any mixture of beautification agent. You have to be patient with such masterpieces to allow them to get develop and spread their magic on your soul and heart.
The generation gap and the relations between the generations with village backdrop with actual villagers as cast in this movie is key thing to watch in this master piece.

Really an intense and serious way of spreading awareness on road safety. Also it is dark massage to those who break the traffic rules.
After watching director Pawan Kumar’s master piece, “Lucia”, I was eagerly waiting and following for his next venture, C10H14N2. Along the way I came across this movie, “U turn”.
Though I did not hear much about it in comparison to Lucia, I had to watch it as I had the feeling somewhere deep in my mind that it will not be simple movie at least, as it is from a talented director.
The Other movies of Kannada Language which I watched and Liked in some or other way include, 24, Rangitanga.
As I narrated that there are much more to be found and watched, I will add up as I progress in the search in this deep ocean.
Till then, keep searching, keep finding, without language, religion and boundries of country for the cinema.
