Haramkhor

Rreview:

I always keep telling that Indian cinema is not only having item songs, creepy dialogues, unusual fight sequences, but there exist a strong realistic cinema too.

My friends keep telling me, “Are tune yeh movie dekhi kya, are tune wo movie dekhi kya”, but all those are only waste of money kind movie only. And when I ask them, tune yeh movie dekhi kya, they say are yeh kab aayi?

Some brilliant cinema passes by from near but we barely notice them as they are lost in jungle of these nonsense love story films.

Haramkhor is movie with simple story, but with a strong subject and realistic cinematic work.

I found this movie, while reading and searching about good Indian children movies. But after watching, I realized it’s not a content for a children film.
The story is about a 15 year school going girl in a village, who is in love and physical relation with her school math teacher cum tuition teacher. It seems simple love story uptill now, but believe me it’s not an easy cup of tea for everyone.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, as Shyam, the math teacher and Shweta Tripathi, as Sandhya, the student, have played the roles respectively very beautifully. Kamal and Mintu are classmates to Sandhya and Kamal is also in love with Sandhya. Mintu is a kind of love guru to Kamal, and teaches him to propose Sandhya. However Sandhya and Shyam are in love/lust for each other and Kamal’s love is ignored always.

Sandhya’s father is a police inspector and is dating another woman after Sandhya’s mother abandoned her. On a day Sandhya informs Shyam that she has missed her periods and might be pregnant. Afraid Shyam takes Sandhya to City to get abortion, only revealing after check-up that she not pregnant.

After this incident, Shyam decides to part from Sandhya. However rumours reveal the scret relation of Shyam and Sandhya. Sunita, who is Shyam’s wife leaves Shyam in anger. Meanwhile Mintu and Kamal break in Shyam’s House and disturbs entire home and steal Shyam’s cloths.
As Shyam comes back home and later identifies Kamal and Mintu, who broke into his house. Shyam in anger tries to kill Mintu, and in fight Kamal Kills Shyam with stone.

The treatment of story by director is mind blowing. It was a very thing string to pull an entire movie, but director and cast did a remarkable job be good performances and realistic dialogs.

Movie is also full of humour, with some unique characters like Shaktiman.

The movie is a mirror to what actually happens in society. It all about love, lust and human relations and feelings.

Worth to mention:

The dialogs are pure and sometimes it seemed that dialogues were flowing realistically. This makes movie real and lively.

Scenes where Shyam beats Sandhya and other girl students are too much realistic that you feel anger about Nawazudding (Shyam).

A must watch movie for realistic cinema lovers.
