The movie, 12th Fail, does not fail in any segment in displaying realistic, enjoyable, and encouraging cinema. When the story is simple and predictable, it is the performance that keeps the audience glued to their seats, making them remember and feel the journey for a long time.

It was a strong and positive reminder for me of the movie Super 30, which also dealt with education and competitive exams in an impactful manner with a leading performance from Hrithik Roshan.

Vikrant Massey’s performance takes that impact to another level of mesmerizing storytelling. His nurturing of the character—showing all phases of an aspirant's journey from a village boy to becoming an IPS officer—is a delightful viewing experience.

The flow of the story and cinematic narration is as plain and simple as an officer ought to be. It is raw, elegant, honest, and impactful.

The climax scene on result day truly gives goosebumps and dampens the eyes as you feel the weight of hard-earned success.

It is a not-to-miss and not-to-be-forgotten gem of recent Indian cinema.

Do not rush only for box-office 100-crore movies; these are the real gems. Collect as many as you can before they are lost in the race of numbers.
