What a combination of cinematic elements.
Mumbai, the heart of cinema, Mazid Majidi (Iranian Director) as director and writer of this gem, human relations and feelings and multi culture mixture of India.
Review:
I am already a soul fan of Majid Majidi after watching my Iranian movie collection, such as, "Children of Heaven", "Colour of Paradise", "Song of Sparrows", "Baran" etc.
I was just digging internet, to get some new gem for this Sunday, and I found something from “Beyond the clouds”
Magic of Majid Majidi starts from the very first scene of the movie, where he has cleverly shown the actual Mumbai beneath the artificial Mumbai, when camera rolls down from a busy road bridge and real Mumbai shows up.
From this first scene to the last ending moment, we see the magic of cinema, human emotions and a cinematic excellence. After Slumdog Millionaire, the scenes of real Mumbai street chase is captured very nicely under the direction of Majid Majidi.
Music of A R Rahman adds up to this magic as he does very often.
The scene of real mud fight, aggression in the bird room by Amit, the care for Tanisha etc are captured by the genius director, as he does always.
The use of shadow behind the curtains, is used very cleverly and emotionally in many scenes.
Watch this world class cinema (Iranian director, global human emotions, Indian backdrop, Tamil connection and a universal feeling, “Care”) to celebrate the festival of emotions.
And remember that, in your life, at moment, when your all happiness is lost, someone really comes, from, “Beyond the Clouds”…
