Love Letter (1995):
People say, every person has stories. It’s true.
But I say, every person is itself a story.
People come, people go, and stories remain. As our lives are too much intertwined with each other, these stories are also.
These stories are made up of memories, which remain in our heart forever.
Review:
Love Letter (1995), is one of such story of memories. I have been an admirer of Japanese/Korean romantic movies, as these are put in simple, heart touching way, with essence of purity.
Recently I watched the Korean movie named, “The Bow”, which is also a beautiful poetic presentation of pure love, but with the touch of possessiveness and self-destruction in love. Without requiring much of words and dialogues, it said a lot by its scenes and cinematic views.
Away from, “The Bow”, this “Love Letter” is another form of love, the love of giving away. The story of this film, touches your hear and takes you back in your own memories of someone, who was close to you in your past.
Such cinematic poetry is hard to find in the bush of fake drama films.
I would recommend it that one should watch this gem, taking out a heart full time from busy life schedule, to be able to live upto the beautiful story it presents to our eyes and heart. The dual role of lead actress may confuse in beginning, but I would say it’s rather a witty part of the movie.
Love letters, are beautiful thing to exchange when you are in love, but think, what if a story of love is exchanged through letters. It gives us what we call now a romantic poetry, which takes you to another level of romantic world.
This movie will make you fall in love once again.
