It's all about rules and laws. If each individual follows defined rules and laws, our country can progress still smoothly.

The movie is about a common man, who is not trying to do any extraordinary task, but just want to conduct fair election within the rules.

Review:

In the first place, one can think that what can be so interesting in a movie on election and polling subject. For many, this may sound political film.

But, this movie, with the plot of election polling, tells a different story in simple and humour manner.

Subjects like Naxal issues, condition of tribal people under Naxal area, operation of Forces in these affected areas etc. are too heavy to handle, yet these are evolved in the movie smoothly.

You will not see a single Naxal or Naxal attack in entire movie when election conducting team is on job, even though the cinematography along with smart music (and silence in some scenes) generates thrill of some action.

Casting:

Rajkumar Rao has become famous face for industry, but he is talented enough that he looks a common man only in all his such films. Well acted by Rajkumar, he gives his best as always.

Anjali Patil (as Malko) is too cute in the movie. When I saw her in first appearing scene, I though may be just some supporting cast. But as the movie progressed, she has shown that she is in parallel with Rajkumar Rao. Even in some scenes, she came out heavier than Rajkumar. No make up but just smart acting was the key to make her look like local girl. She shows the self respect of local people and anger towards forces and politicians very well by her action.

I am set to see her other films, such as, "With You Without you" etc. now to explore her talent. Will write reviews after seeing the movies.

Dialogs:

Dialogs and punch lines are unique. For example, "...mai adivasi hoon" by Malko, and many punches of Pankaj Tripathi (Atma Singh)

Use of three cards, and co-relation of "5" with the power of fist and then using brain for sixth sense, in the scene when Malko hints Newton what's going on to disrupt polling by Atam Singh and team.

Smart Scenes:

In the first appearance scene of Rajkumar Rao (Newton) he is shown eating apple, while reading, just to relate to Newton's famous story with apple.

Newton's quest for rules is shown in many scenes, like, not marrying to a girl who is underage, getting award for coming on time in office, rules followed during election booth setup at polling base etc.

Take away:

Newton is smart and realistic movie. It's not about election and polling but it's about people of Naxal affected areas, their situation and what actually they want from us, from government.

After movie, "Buddha in Traffic Jam", this movie (Newton) is also a good movie with sensitive subject handled beautifully.
