Finally, I got food for satisfying the hunger of uniqueness in cinema for this Sunday.

Yet another shining stone from Tamil Movies, among the rare gems. It’s an enjoyable crime suspense thriller movie.

Who says that a thriller needs a great road chase scene, blood spatters, or flashy sequences? This movie proves on its own that a narrative and tight script can itself create a gripping suspense thriller, even with a single character in a single damn room.

The film is all about the confessions of a serial killer in an interrogation room of a police station. The entire film is set in a single room, with only one character appearing in the entire screenplay.

The story unfolds through a detailed, dramatic narrative delivered by the sole character. We see an entire star cast embodied by a single actor on screen—such a brilliant idea and execution.

The story flies like a kite on a single string of narration. The entire plot may also seem built up by a brilliant mind game played by the character, as one of the scenes subtly hints through the name of his wife, USHA.

It reminded me of films such as The Usual Suspects, or its Indian adaptation Chocolate.

It also captures the single-room drama feel of 12 Angry Men or its Indian version Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, where a complete murder scenario is established purely through narrative and dialogues.

It is all about the power of words and a tight script that holds you until the very end. A must-watch for the love of unique cinema.
