The story of the film is from a book, which is written in the film itself.

Yes, strange but true.

The film’s story is no story. It’s a tale of two struggling writers to aiming big in Bollywood.

It’s a light hearted comedy and romantic movie, romance of friendship and comedy on romantic films.
Bollywood is saturated with love stories and romance, and this films takes us far without taking us away from Bollywood.

I would not say that movie depicts the struggle of writers in smart way or intelligent way or blab la, but surely depicts is in a simple and clean manner.

The starting credits scene of the movie themselves narrate the situation, as we can see lots of various books, novels, newspapers, magazines laying in each corner of the room, along with empty beer bottles, cigarette buts and peel of oranges and bananas, narrating that the room belongs to bachelor struggling writers.

Review:

The movie does not require efforts to pull further but it flows naturally.

There is no requirement to create typical “Love story kinda” scene where HERO and heroine, encounter for the first time and then love blossoms with sweet romantic songs following the scene.

The brotherhood is shown with witty dialogs between our two struggling writers and romance is pampers unenticingly between Ruma and Dulal.
I liked the romance part a lot as the way smooth way it is shown is truly amazing. Aditi Vasudev looks really pretty in the movie and really very pretty with glasses. The innocence is the strength of Aditi and so as of her character, Ruma.

Some Classy scenes:

There are some really clever and classy scenes and references in the movie.

The one where Mainak and Dulal visit crossword to get some idea of story, and Mainak narrates the characteristic of the girls based on the books they choose to read.

Another one of meeting with Gonzo Kapoor, where Gonzo’s Cat love is shown and is refereed sometimes again in the movie as when his cat dies and another in the promo of Mainak’s movie “Bulbul Chingam” where bulbul’s heroin mimics like a cat and so does the Bulbul.

Bird watching scene, where Ruma explains the philosophy of camera as a mind. The dialogs and philosophy is clever. This is to relate Ruma’s passion of photography for which she is leaving India.

Another clever scene is of farmhouse of Gonzo, where he meets Nene Uncle and a Hot and bold girl in towel depicting wife of Nene. Later is is revealed the Nene is the actually chairman of Censor board who is against the vulgar and bold content in the movie. This is little bit contradictory with the avatar of his wife shown in the movie, which indicates the bitter(in a taunt)  truth of our censor board.

The loneliness and silence of sadness is shown in the scene where Dulal is shown in a fair after having a fight with Mainak over Ruma’s entry between the two bro. The scene is with only light background music and not the loud croud noise of fair. This indicates the silence of sadness in the heart of Dulal.

Some facts to mention:

The poem “Keeda” as narrated by Mainak in Poetry reading scene is actually written by Mayank Tewari who is playing role of Mainak. This can be seen in ending credits also.

We have seen Razak khan in many typical comedy characters in movies, but here is plays the opposite of his image and stands out superb as sweety Kapoor, who is strict and arrogant.

The movie is fun to watch and enjoy.
